

William F. Sensakovic, PhD graduated with honors from The University of Chicago with undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics and a Doctorate in Medical Physics. He is an American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified Diagnostic Medical Physicist and an American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS) MR Safety Expert. Dr. Sensakovic is a board member of the ABMRS, chairs the Medical Physics of Education of Physicians Committee for the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and is former president of the AAPM Florida Chapter among other activities. He is chair of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Dose Index Registry, is a member of the Council Steering Committee, Physics Section Editor for RadExam, and is a past councilor for the State of Florida and Commission on Medical Physics among other activities.
Dr. Sensakovic’s research interests include artificial intelligence/image analysis, imaging and work flow optimization, and education. He is author of more than 40 scientific articles, 90 conference presentations, and several books chapters and books. He is also Editor for the 2018 AAPM Physics Curriculum for Radiology Residents. He is currently an Associate Professor of Medical Physics and Chair of the Division of Radiology Medical Physics at Mayo Clinic in Arizona where he lives with his wife and two children
